eco'arts project intends to tackle vital developmental issues with creativity; inform and inspire individuals to take preventive actions; and acknowledge those creative individuals who focus on habitat and environmental challenges.

eco'arts project aims to facilitate an opportunity for individuals / groups (who care about environmental issues; create artwork from recycled objects; use environmental friendly materials to shape their work; raise awareness on environmental challenges or organize eco-friendly projects) to share their works and ideas.

Through the call placed on Art4Development.Net E-Community and supporting online platforms, within 31 days of its launch eco'arts received artwork and art project images submitted by over 60 artists from numerous cities in the USA, Canada, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Sierra Leone, Columbia, Angola, Finland, South Africa… Among eco'arts participants there are architects, designers, high-school art teachers, professional, part-time and amateur artists who work with photography, various recycled materials, wood, plastic, acrylic paint, ink, 3D installations, and more. The eco'arts participants are from all walks of life and have an average age of 43 (youngest being 24 and oldest 63).

To celebrate World Environment Day (WED - June 5th) Art4Development.Net has launched the international `eco-arts' project and requests submissions of artwork that deal with environmental issues.

Your artwork should focus, highlight, or depict environmental concerns like water, deforestation, erosion, global warming, urbanization, …and/or the impact it has on human lives such as poverty, lack of drinking water and access to sanitation,…

The artworks can be illustrations, photography, paintings, caricatures, …

Send your work as jpeg images to Art4Development.Net. (in maximum 600 x 800 pixels).

If you write poems or would like your voice to be heard (quotes max 25 words) you are more than welcome to submit texts as well!
