"If we look at the subject matter from a pure arts perspective, that is art for arts' sake, we may not see the relevance of arts in fulfilling the Millennium Development Goals. But, when we approach the subject with an inter-disciplinary mind-set (e.g., incorporating economics and say, psychology) there is a chance for arts to be a part of it all. Arts may help alleviate the current underprivileged conditions." *
